Legal:
  • Taking evidence under a commission or order from a court.
  • Forwarding requests to local authorities for the taking of evidence or the service of a document.

Notarial:

  • Authenticating documents and signatures, attesting or legalising signature or seals.
  • Administering oaths receiving declarations or affirmations.
  • Supplying witnesses.
  • Initialling alterations in documents not prepared by the consular officer.
  • Making or verifying copies of a document.
  • Uniting documents and sealing the fastening, or affixing photographs to documents not prepared by a consular officer.
  • Obtaining legalisation or other certification from another authority upon any document.
  • Supplying certified copies of documents forming part of the records of a court, making or verifying a translation in writing of a document or part of a document, translating and interpreting viva voce.
