Visas for the UK

Many people, including Chinese passport-holders, need a visa in order to travel to the UK. This section explains what you must do to apply for a visa, and how much it will cost. You can also download application forms and leaflets containing further information.

Please note that the visa service of  the British Embassy is no longer  located in the main Embassy building, but  has moved to new and larger premises in the Kerry Centre.  In recent years there has a sharp rise in the number of Chinese people traveling to Britain, whether to study, do business or visit relatives. Our new visa offices have been carefully designed to cater for the increased demand for our services. Many more staff will be working on the front-line,serving customers, and as a result we hope to offer a simpler, faster service to all.
