Commercial Services: Information Centre

The Embassy has an Information Centre located in the main building at 11 Guanghua Lu, Beijing 100600. It is open to the public every weekday from 9am to 11.50am and 2pm to 4.50pm. For security reasons, all visitors need an appointment. To arrange a suitable time, please call Jane Zhang on (010) 6532 1961 ext 237.

The Centre stocks books and periodicals on a wide range of subjects, with a focus on recent commercial material. The Centre keeps newspapers and magazines in Chinese and English, together with a range of company prospectuses. A reference library has books on most major industrial sectors. Multimedia facilities and internet access are also available.

Visitors can take away a variety of free publications. These include the 'Britain in China' magazine "Ying-Zhong Weilai" (in Chinese) and booklets published by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on subjects as diverse as Britain's Software and Film Industries, the Arts in Britain and Young People in Britain (mainly in English).

Information on studying in the UK is held in the library of the Cultural and Education Section at 4/F Liangma Dasha, 8 Dongsanhuan Beilu, Beijing 100004.
